Nothing Much

Well the good news is their really is no news. Joy is now 7 months old and still as cute as can be. She drinks from a bottle exclusively, and I feed her twice a day mostly oatmeal, but occasionally I try something else. She really doesn't like any of it yet. Well, that's it. Here's some pictures of her cuteness she's in the back yard where I set up my bubble machine she wasn't sure what to do!

Easter and Other Happenings

Wow it has been a whirlwind week! To update from the last blog Joy is now only getting a bottle during the day with a 2/3 mix of formula and 1/3 of breast milk. I miss the closeness of the breast feedings, but enjoy the freedom of the bottle.
Speaking of Freedom I got my first night away on Tuesday. I went to Girls Night out with my Sunday School. This month it was a night of putting together the eggs for our Easter Egg Hunt, but it was a night out! Then on Thursday I drove up to Dallas to visit with my very pregnant friend Mary, and surprise May for a belated birthday dinner. I got free baby sitting that night from Lynn (Mary's husband) and Ma (Mary's Grandmother). The next morning we played with Mary's boys 21 month twins John and William. Then Mary and I went to do some shopping while Ma and Renee (Mary's Mom) watched the kids. It was great to see Mary VERY pregnant with the now born Michael Andrew (Happy Birthday Michael)! I also enjoyed seeing May and letting her meet Joy. I came home from Dallas on Friday night and Saturday Joy and I went to our church's Easter Egg hunt. It was amazing I sat her on her blanket and she found a pink egg. It was very cold and wet, but we had a good time.

Easter Sunday we woke up to find the Easter bunny had not only left Joy a basket but one for Mom and Dad too! Here is Joy getting into her "basket". The baskets are containers for toys that match her room. What a thoughtful Easter Bunny! We then went to church and to my Mom's for Easter Dinner. We had a good time with our family, and my Mom and Grandmother enjoyed how Joy has changed in the few weeks since my Mom's party. Joy was very well behaved all day. (I somehow managed not to get a picture in her dress, I will be sure to redress her sometime this week to get that picture and then post it!)
The Easter Bunny brought me a bubble machine and Joy and I went outside to play with it this afternoon. She enjoyed seeing all the bubbles fly by!
